Women's Evangelism & Discipleship

Women's Evangelism & Discipleship ministries are designed to provide encouragement and opportunities to women to be involved in promoting the gospel through evangelism, discipleship, and missions.  Here are a few of the ways that the ladies of CBC pursue those ends.

Fellowship Activities

Contact: Marcia Snyder, 857-3600

1 Timothy 3:15 calls the church the household of God, and as a family of believers, we have the privilege of enjoying fellowship together. The CBC Women's Ministry hosts a number of events throughout the year to give ladies opportunities to enjoy that fellowship together. You can check our church calendar page or click here to learn about some of our upcoming events!

Missionary Meetings

CBC has the privilege to be involved with missionaries at the local, national, and international levels, and this involvement stretches far beyond just financial support. We have several groups of ladies who get together to keep up to date on what our missionaries are doing and what they need to continue their gospel work, to pray for those needs, and to do their part in meeting those needs as well.

Apples of Gold -- Mentoring Program

Contact: Marcia Snyder, 857-3600

Purpose:

Primary purpose of Apples of Gold is for older women to nurture younger women in the Word of God, the Bible, and to encourage them to obey that Word.

The program is based on the principles taught in Titus 2:3-5, which teach six ways to enhance our spiritual and personal lives, the lives of our family, and the lives of those around us.

The secondary purpose of the program is the practical application:  cooking skills, relational skills, homemaking skills and sharing hospitality with others.

Proverbs 25:11  A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.

Titus 2:3-5  Bid the older women likewise to be reverent in behavior, not to be slanderers or slaves to drink. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be sensible, chaste, domestic, kind, and submissive to their husbands, that the word of God may not be discredited.

The six lessons come from that passage:

  1. Kindness
  2. Loving Your Husband
  3. Loving Your Children
  4. Submission
  5. Purity
  6. Hospitality
